Eddie Mac
This Minneapolis-based duo, comprised of Mike ‘Sugar’ Mehsikomer (guitar/bass/vocals) and Chris Weinberger (drums/vocals), like Detroit’s now legendary White Stripes, make the noise of a much larger act.
Sixteen year veteran musician and Native Minnesotan, Mehsikomer draws on Midwestern influences, including the traditional country sounds of Hank Williams and Johnny Cash, the blues of Muddy Waters and Jimmy Reed and plenty of straight ahead rock-n-roll from the Allman Brothers to ZZ Top. His first gig was under his belt after only three months of picking up the guitar. Equally comfortable with both the twelve and six-string acoustic guitars, he has also played bass with the group The Blind Lemons.
Born and raised in New Berlin, WI, Chris Weinberger has been playing music since the age of eight, performing at his first official club gig at age twelve. He has performed with the bands True Rumor, Neo-Neo, The Mothafunkers, Whirled Peas, Insane Imani, The Chris Herriges Project and Bijou. He has a Bachelors Degree in music and a Ph.D. in love.
Eddie Mac tour throughout the U.S. and is scheduled to play at the Newpalooza ‘05 Festival in June.
