Colorado Performing Artist FatKnuckleJack

Formed in late 2001 in Fort Collins, CO, FatKnuckleJack — Matt Furlong (lead vocals/guitars), Davis (lead guitar), Nathan Schultz (bass), Matt Hoffman (drums/vocals) — have quickly become a rock band whose catchy blend of unique melodies, edgy guitar riffs, and hard-hitting rhythms, coupled with their reputation for high-energy live performances gained them an enthusiastic local following.

By March of 2002 the band could be found playing all-night shows at local venues, filling the hours with both original material as well as upbeat cover songs. By November of the same year, after more live performances, and writing more new material, came the release of their first six-song EP, Tomorrow Sounds Good.

FatKnuckleJack also appeared in both the 2002 Denver Post-News Battle of the Bands competion, finishing as a top-25 semi-finalist, and the Northern Colorado Scene Magazine Battle of the Bands in the top10. The band then wrapped up their freshman year on the local music scene, by receiving the 2002 Emerging Artist Award at Archer’s Backstreet Bar in Fort Collins.

Always working to further promote themselves, FatKnuckleJack continues to play in both the Fort Collins and Denver areas, and can be heard in rotation on radio stations KKPL 99.9FM, KCSU 90.5FM and KBPI 106.7FM.
